Are you a Digital Communications professional with experience in marketing or journalism? We are looking for a Digital communications assistant to join a team in Belgium. EU Nationality is required due to security clearance requirements.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in digital communications or related field
- Good knowledge of digital environment
- Experience in web content design and web editing
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel and Word
- Knowledge of the Adobe suite (such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop);
- Experience in handling reporting tools such as Business Object
- Experience with Data Visualisation tools such as QlikView/QlikSense
- Excellent copywriting skills
- General knowledge of EU institutions
- Character skills: ability to be team oriented and analytical with problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills; Ability to deal with stressful situations and paying attention to detail and accuracy
- Education: Preferred academic background in a related field
- EU Nationality is required due to security clearance requirements
- Languages: English (fluent)
Job Description:
This role is part of the Digital communications support services team at the Health and Food Safety division. You will be responsible for the support of the EU Platform on Animal Welfare and the AMR Platform.
Your main task will be to sustain communication among the members of the platform and to provide and share online information.
Activities include:
- As a full-time member of the team, you will be part of the Digital communications support services team
- Generating reports from multiple systems and provide analysis on the data collected to support the communication within the business unit or to the stakeholders;
- Editing presentations prepared by colleagues – editing and formatting for dissemination on the Web
- Managing online libraries and archived ones on the collaborative platforms;
- Setup of the platform content
- Transmission of information regarding the Platform’s functions and workflow to the members
- Facilitate cooperation between the members
- User information of new resources on specific topics
- Contributing to the implementation and setting up of communication.
- Data extraction and reports generation
Responsibilities:
- Creation of supporting documents to present the reports results
- Support online community management,
- Creating, editing and uploading of online contents, for the Commission social platform and newsletters;
- Improve the readability and usability of the content
- Editing and proofreading new content
- Performing editorial quality checks
- Keeping content up-to-date
- Develop, adapt and disseminate content to fit the specific platforms and target audiences, with relevant linguistic adaptation;
- Manage user accesses and monitor online discussion;
- Provide user support;
- Manage online collaborative tools;
- Liaising with Consortium staff management, on-site staff and EU officials.
