Do you have 5+ years of System Administrator and Architect experience with NetApp and VMWare? We are looking for an EU National for a long-term contract in Brussels Belgium.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of System Administrator experience in Storage, Server & Backup technologies – particularly NetApp and VMware vSphere 7
• 5+ years of architecture and design experience with storage and backup technologies
• Experience with high level and low level designs
• Symantec & NetApp Backup administration and recovery procedures
• VMware & Hyper-V management and administration 
• Expertise in WAMP/LAMP (Linux/Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP) application administration
• Knowledge of Windows 2012, 2016, 2019 Server administration is desirable
• Shared storage administration (NetApp/IBM/HP)
• TCP/IP protocol and related services in a Windows 2012, 2016, 2019 environment: DNS, DHCP, WINS
• Hardware environment (Server)
• Good scripting skills (Shell, Bash)
• Very good knowledge of PowerShell 2+
• ITILv3 certification(s) (if not, must commit to taking this within 3 months)
• Experience in providing support for enterprise environment and ability to cope with fast changing technologies
• Good communication skills; Quick learning ability is required, being organized, versatile and a results-oriented team player; Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working
• Ability to write technical notes in English
• Languages: English (Fluent)

Technical certification (at least 1 required):

• MCSA/MCSE: Server Infrastructure
• MCITP: Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 and above
• (Storage) NCSA, NCDA, NCIE
• (Virtualisation) VCA-DCV, VCP4/5-DCV, VCAP4/5-DCA, VCAP4/5-DCD, VCDX4/5-DV, VCA-WM, VCP4/5-DT, VCAP-DTD, VCDX-DT – MCTS, MCITP: Virtualization Administrator (or higher)
• (Linux) RHCSA, RHCE, RHCJD, RHCJA
• Oracle RDBMS database administration

Job description and tasks:

• Support service owners, operations managers and service teams on operational projects related to client foundation services, including interventions on ICT infrastructure (servers, backup devices, virtual machines, etc)
• Drafting operational guidelines, procedures, installation notices and scripts for the integration, installation and upgrade of aforementioned component services
• Support setup and management of central monitoring infrastructure
• Assistance with roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects
• Operate in accordance with the defined ITIL processes and procedures
• Performing backup/restore operations on data
• Development of scripts to improve central management and control facilities (central alerting, central logging, central security policy implementation).
